Steps in Tuckpointing

2. Remove old mortar from the joint.

6. Strike work.

        2.  Apply Caulking compound so that it remains in place for the life of material.

        3.  Prepare the surface to receive the caulking compound.

        4.  Cover the opening with the caulking compound without wasting materials.

        5.  Finish the caulked surface so that an attractive appearance is achieved.

        6.  Properly handle the toxic materials and chemicals used in caulking.

        7.  Estimate the amount of Caulking Compound needed for the Assignment.
